Annual General Meeting Minutes - 2010

President’s Report:

The 2010 year has been a very good year for the club with lots of motor sporting and social activities. All of these activities have been well attended and enjoyed by all who participated. There has been a good deal of positive feed-back regards all activities.

The 2010 FOSC event held at Bathurst in April 2010 was a tremendous event and enjoyed by all club members who attended and participated. Still waiting on the FOSC organisation to provide information on the FOSC event for 2011 to be held at Eastern Creek Raceway in Sydney.

The “LapZ at the Lake” event at Lakeside Raceway on 17 October was a great event and a very clear indication regards the strength of the club.

All those members who are considering participating in the 2011 Super Sprints at Morgan Park Raceway need to decide what series they want to participate in.

MM won his first race meeting at QLD Raceway Willowbank and both he and RE were having a very successful meeting until engine problems caused them to retire their car.

Life Member = 1 (Alan Stean) – No renewal fee.
Patron Member = 1 (Lofty Drews) - No renewal fee
New Members to sign-up in 2010 = 15
There was a large number of new members signed up at the “LapZ at the Lake” event

Secretary's Report:

Club Rego letters = 9
Committee Meetings = 6
The club website presentation, support and maintenance have been outsourced with a great deal of success. The committee is now investigating the possibility of hosting a forum on the club website
Raised the possibility of staging an event at Lakeside along the lines of the “Sponsors Day Event” held by a local Rally Car Club. This proposal was discussed and agreement reached that it would be put on hold for discussion at the next scheduled club meeting.

Social Secretary's Report:

Both of the two social events for 2010 (Downtown to Wivenhoe Run & Sensational Stanthorpe 2010 - Christmas in July) were very successful and both have received very positive feedback from the participants

Vice President's Report:

DM thanked all the 2010 Committee members for their efforts throughout the year. He also thanked all those who were involved in organising the “LapZ at the Lake” event which turned out to be a huge success.
