  • Discuss progress of the “LapZ at the Lake 2010” event at the Lakeside Raceway on Sunday 17th October.
  • Discuss preparations for upcoming Annual General Meeting – starting at 10am at 26 Canterbury Place, The Gap.
  • Discuss upcoming Australian Super Sprints Championship scheduled for November 13/14 at Morgan Park Raceway on the extended track.
  • Update on the one outstanding ACTION item:-
    • PH to obtain revised quote from Resonant Imagery for the setting up of a forum to be hosted on the club website and maintained by a car club member.

Previous Meeting Minutes: Approved (motion by DM to accept previous meeting minutes; seconded by DR and passed)




Guests:   Phil Ross rescheduled until the November meeting.

 

President/Vice President’s Report:

 

• DM  Informed the meeting about the progress of the upcoming “LapZ at the Lake” event. So far 57 of the 60 available spots have been filled. Phil Ross from Shannons has committed to having the Shannon’s tent on site on the day plus staff members. All entrants via the Z Car Club will receive a promotional bag with some goodies, a hat and sticker, plus the entry fee is $50.00 less then what is charged by Track Attack.

 

Dustin acknowledged the assistance he has received from Aubrey Hughes and David Robertson in helping to organise this event. As well as the track sprints there will also be an informal car display.

There was also a discussion on how best to organise the running order of each track group, general consensus was that groups usually self organise for the best.

Allocation of garages was also discussed and it was decided to reserve and allocate a garage number to each “LapZ on the Lake” participant.

 

•  JL give a brief run down on the “Car and Bike” event held at Morgan Park Raceway over the weekend of the 25/26 September. Jason and Matt had participated in the One Hour Enduro event but unfortunately their car had expired at the halfway mark. Overall it had been an excellent weekend and great event which had been run on the new extended track.

Secretary’s Report:

• There has been a surface mail out of the AGM documents to all 75 financial club members, with no returns because of incorrect addresses. Only one apology for non attendance to the AGM has been received.



Business Arising:

• There was a discussion regards the upcoming Australian Super Sprints Championship scheduled for November 13/14 at Morgan Park Raceway on the extended track. No commitment regards number of club members who may be participating.
• Update on the one outstanding ACTION item:-
  • PH obtained revised quote from Resonant Imagery for the setting up of a forum to be hosted on the club website and maintained by a car club member.
  • The quote had been distributed earlier to all committee members but as there has been no firm commitment from any club member to take on the role of Forum monitor this concept is to be placed on Hold

 

New Business:

• Upcoming Events :-
  • AGM scheduled for Sunday 24th October at 9:00am, location 26 Canterbury Place, The Gap
