Annual General Meeting Minutes - 2011

President’s Report:

• The 2011 year has been a very good and active year for the club with lots of motor sporting and social events.
• The CIJ social event to Yamba NSW, was once again well attended and a tremendous success.
• The “LapZ at the Lake” event at Lakeside Raceway in May turned out to be successful event after a very shaky start.
• All of these activities have been well attended and enjoyed by all who participated. Generally there has been positive feed-back by those who have participated in the club activities either social or motor sport.  
• All those members who are considering participating in the 2012 Super Sprints at Morgan Park Raceway need to lodge their “Expression of Interest” to the WDSCC.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

• General club account: -  Account in strong position but balance is not available for publication

 

Membership Secretary’s Report:

• Not listed as an agenda item.

 

Secretary's Report:

• Club Rego letters = 5
• Committee Meetings = 6
• All correspondence received either via surface or email has been forwarded onto all club members.

Social Secretary's Report:

• Sunday 6th February.

Birches Restaurant run to Mt. Mee.
15 + members and their guests turn up for this year’s breakfast
Very enjoyable morning and a fun drive.

 

• Sunday the 20th of February.

All Japanese Classic Day.
12 club Zeds, a 120y and the 2 Princes for Dave Hill and Chris Berry
And 5 other non club members Zeds were there on the day for a turn out of about 180 Classic Japanese Cars.

 

• Thursday 31st of March.

General Club Meeting.
Meeting held at the Norman Hotel, great steaks and other meals help to make this a very good meeting.

 

• Saturday 21st of May

 LapZ at the Lake.
Had 70+ Japanese cars competing around the track and another 20 partaking in the LapZ breakfast.
Also had at least 60+ Japanese cars over the day coming out for a look.
Congratulations must go to DM for the fantastic job he did putting this event together.

 

• Sunday 19th of June.

All Japanese Day at Banyo.
Small turn out of Zeds, only 4 from the club and a few ring-ins, the event is huge day 220+ Japanese cars, no entry fee helps to make this the premier Japanese car event.

 

• 30th and 31st of July.

Road trip to Yamba.
There were 57 people, 20 odd Zeds, 2 Prince Skylines, 1 Mazda RX5 and a Datsun 1600.
River cruise on the Saturday then in the evening the Hawaiian night, which was a huge success. Then the Sunday lunch was fantastic.
Thanks to JC for putting up with me for two nights???
Best one yet!!!

• Motor Sport Mishap Perpetual Trophy – Awarded to JL
• Bad Luck Trophy – Awarded to AH
• Club Badges have been a great success and there are several still available at $10.00 each to club members.
