Event - All Japanese Classic Day - Sunday 19 February

Our Friends from the Rising Sun Collectors Register of Australia and the Seven of Clubs Mazda Car Club of Qld. have invited the Z Car Club of Queensland Inc. to partake in the All Japanese Classic Day which will be held on Sunday the 19th of February 2012.

The Rising Sun Collectors Register of Australia has over 500 cars on its register and covers all Japanese Car Manufactures and this along with the Seven of Clubs Mazda Car Club of Qld with over 70 Members are holding this car display. This is a great car show with some rare and special early Japanese cars on display and it is only the fourth time it has been run.

Many privately owned cars as well as Car Clubs covering all the Japanese Car Manufactures will be there on display, the organisers are expecting over 150 cars this year so it’s a great opportunity to show off our great Cars.

The All Japanese Classic Day is open to all Japanese Manufactured Vehicles 25 years and older. There will be a separate area for your modern Japanese future classic if you want to bring it.

Earnshaw State College Earnshaw Road Banyo
UBD Map 21 REF E 11. Entry will be off Earnshaw Road and the gates for display cars will be open from 7.30am. Spectator entry will be from 9.00am

Admission for Show Cars and Spectators is Free! Yes Free!
Your car doesn’t need to be in showroom condition
Just come along and enjoy the day!

How to get there: The car show area is ideally located just off the Gateway Motorway.

Those travelling north on the Gateway Motorway after you cross the Gateway bridge you need to take the old section of motorway now named 20 Southern Cross Way follow this and you will need to take the Toombul Road Exit. Turn left into Toombul Road then at the third set of Traffic lights, bare left to the underpass which turns into Earnshaw Road

Those travelling south down the Gateway Motorway take the Nudgee Road Exit and turn Right onto Nudgee Road and follow for a little over 1km and turn right onto Approach Rd then into left Earnshaw Road

For those wondering what to bring? There will be food and drink stalls on site and the all important coffee van, but if you want to bring a picnic along please do. A Chair, Hat, Blanket, Sunscreen, Water, Shade Cover and a Camera never go astray at these events. We will have the Club Gazebo setup so there will be plenty of shade so look for the club flags

Its been a while since we have all sat around a had a chance to catch up so this will be a great opportunity to see each other in a relaxed atmosphere  and meet people who have a similar love of Classic Japanese Cars.

The organisers are happy to give us an area for us to park altogether; we don’t need to be there by 7.30am either so let’s all aim for a nice casual arrival between 8.00am and 8.30am. You will need to be parked by 9.00am!

N.B. I need to let the organisers know of how many will be in our group so please let me know by no later than 3.00pm Saturday  the 18th of February 2012 if you are planning to come along.
