Previous Event Reports - A Series Report - 10/09/06

Last weekend (10th Sept 06) few members got together for a day trip to Morgan Park to support our fellow members competing in the A Series.

 

We had a smooth run from Goodna out to Warwick and then to Morgan Park. A couple of us were surprised by the drop in temperature (Never assume it will be warm in Warwick). The competitors had already experienced some tough laps and fierce competition.

 

Mike had attempted to distract the other competitors with a graceful Pirouette but only suceeded in creating some flat spots on his tyres. We watched as our guys got out on the track for another set of laps and although they were sent out with reasonable gaps they seemed to bunch up within a lap or two.

 

It had started to rain and the guys were struggling to get around the corners let alone set decent times. It made for good spectating as they bunched up even more and plenty of oposite lock attempting to get the nose to point the right way. The day was cut short due to the rain but it was still good to get out there and cheer the guys on.
