Letz Go Runs

At a recent committee meeting it was decided to introduce the "Letz Go Run"
With our busy lives it is normally not until late in the week before we know what we are doing on the upcoming weekend. Due to the success of the Mt Nebo Dawn Breakfast late last year and a few other last minute gatherings, we would like to introduce the LGR concept

With the Club's growing membership, we believe making Club Sanctioned runs more accessible to members especially those with Club registered cars, is important. As those of you who have done it know, organising a big club run can be quite a bit of work and needs to be done over a few months.

The gist of the LGR is a club sanctioned "spur of the moment" run involving whoever is interested and available. They can be anything from a run in the country to moTor sports events, car displays, fete's BBQ spots etc, anything that you might like some other Club member and the Zed to join you on.

A few rules exist . . . .

The event must be given approval by Club President or Vice-President (Please phone as emails are not checked every day)

The event must be of a non-competitive nature ie does not have a set time for completion; is not a timed event; does not involve a prize; does not involve nominated speeds or times for sections.

Information sent out must include:"The Z Car Club Queensland Inc. promotes and expects safe and responsible driving at all times" and "The Z Car Club Queensland Inc. is a chapter of the Marque Sports Car Club Queensland Inc"

You need to provide the following info . . . . .

What approx time to meet and where. UBD map references are very handy;
Departure time;
Where you are going;
What you will be doing;
What to bring ie. Map, Towel, Hat, Bacon and Eggs etc;
Possible distance you will be travelling is also handy for fuel requirements;
Approximate return time.
